In
addition to Dead Dogs Lie, Singer also wrote and directed Animal
Room, starring Neal Patrick Harris, Matthew Lillard, Amanda Peet,
and Catherine Hicks. The film was produced under his own banner,
Burwasser Films, and distributed by Smart Egg Pictures in 1995.
He received the National "Best New Director" Award from
the NDECA for a National PSA on gun control.
Singer is currently posting two additional features in New York:
Regent Entertainment's - A Good Night to Die starring Michael Rapapport,
Gary Stretch, Deborah Harry, Ralph Machio, Alley Sheedy, Robin Givins,
James Russo, and Frank Whalley, as well as the short film Kill Charlie.(Think
Willie Wonka 25 years later)
Singer has authored numerous screenplays including Caroline and
Paradiddle, and since 1997, has been collaborating with writer Robert
Dean Klein. The team completed screenplays titled In Play, Car Guys,
The Terminal Club, and Untitled Fall Project.
Singer studied film and theater at William Paterson University and
art history at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Singer is the
Co-founder along with his producing partner Chris Williams of My2centences,
an entertainment event company based out of New York City. Born
and raised in New Jersey, he lives there with his wife and three
children.
